Hello World Camp

This afternoon Gillian asked for help with a poster for her new project, Hello World Camp. I started by describing some layout options via Skype. She took a pass in Illustrator and then sent the file my way for input. It was a fun experiment to verbally describe something visual and see how someone else executes your directions. It feels like the premise for a game I can't quite recall.

I mucked about in the file for a few minutes and came out with this design. Gillian wanted to obscure the faces of the young coders for their privacy, and the text did that well. Respectable, if not original. (I see you Helvetica.) I tried out Arvo, too.
